CNRS researcher, HDR
INC section 16
Jean-Louis earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology in 1994 from the University of Montpellier. He completed a post-doctoral training at the Burnham Institut in La Jolla (CA.) where he worked on the molecular bases of cell adhesion (1994-1996). He was appointed as an associate researcher at the Burnham Institut for two years (1996-1998). Jean-Louis was then recruited as a CNRS researcher in 1998 in the Chimie Biomoléculaire et Interactions Biologiques laboratory where he started his research program on the molecular bases of GPCR-mediated signaling. He was honored by the Bronze Medal of CNRS in 2002. He joined IBMM at the Institute creation, in 2007, and started his current research program on ghrelin-mediated signaling.
